Both our main office and the Montessori Teacher Training program are located at Selkirk Montessori School (2970 Jutland Rd., Victoria, BC V8T 5K2) on the beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada. Selkirk Montessori School serves as the site for all academic sessions, while both Selkirk Montessori School and Westmont School provide practicum locations for adult learners.

The South Island Montessori Training Institute (SIMTI) is proud to announce that its Elementary I–II Course is now fully accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). MACTE is a respected organization that evaluates and accredits Montessori teacher training programs, ensuring they meet rigorous quality standards. This accreditation reflects SIMTI’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and authentic Montessori education, preparing our graduates to excel as Montessori educators.

SIMTI has also been granted Applicant Affiliate status by the American Montessori Society (AMS). This affiliation, widely recognized across North America and internationally, further enhances the value of our program and the credentials earned by our graduates.
