The Foundation Course is a standalone program designed for anyone interested in Montessori education. It is ideal for:
- Teachers new to Montessori or Educational Assistants seeking to deepen their understanding of Montessori principles
- Parents of Montessori children who want to gain insight into their child’s learning journey
- University or college students interested in the basics of Montessori education
This course introduces the core Montessori philosophy, methods, the Montessori mind, the Prepared Environment, and an introduction to Montessori materials.
The next Foundation Course begins in November 29, 2025. The Registration deadline is Novemner 20, 2025. The program combines online self-learning with lectures with the instructor held bi-weekly on Saturdays, along with assignments, totaling 40 hours over a 3-month duration.
The course covers the following units:
- Evolution of Montessori
- Classroom Observation
- Montessori’s View of the Child
- Foundational Philosophical Concepts
- The Prepared Environment
- The Role and Preparation of the Adult
- Montessori Pedagogy
- Early Years Montessori Curriculum and Materials
Upon successful completion of the sessions and assignments, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance for the Foundation Course. This certificate is a prerequisite for enrollment in the Elementary I–II program for those wishing to continue their Montessori training.
